"Where the Wild Things Are", Building a Buzz

Where the Wild Things Are, brings everyone back to childhood, as one of the few "shared experiences," a lot of people have had.  A beloved childrens book, the trailer for the movie has just been released and has caused fan fervor from around the country.  "Build A Buzz," is a marketing axiom that movies have done superbly for a long time.  When it's done right, a slow steady build up of marketing can cause a product to launch huge.  The key is having a plan, and follow through to support the success, and to adapt your plan to failure.  The movie doesn't open until October, and here we are 6 months out, starting to feel the buzz.  Check out the trailer, and I will be following the marketing build on this movie from time to time to show how one step leads to another.  Until then, learn to be a kid again, and go, "Where The Wild Things Are."
